Salutation
On June 22, our ‘VCI Academy of Technology (VCIAT)’ successfully opened. It will offer the education on Japanese and up-to-date technology to Vietnamese. 22 brilliant students, who are fresh out of Hanoi Institute of Technology, got enrolled. They shoot for professionals in CAD. They will complete the course in March 2006, get employed by Japanese companies in good standing and work in Japan. Ten of them have already got an official job offer. In the months ahead we will receive five to 20 enrollees each time in September, November and January. The course will be expanded to the fields of Software Development and Electronics. On a long-term basis, we are planning to offer courses such as Biotechnology, Geriatric Care, and Nursing Care, to develop skills which are greatly needed in Japan. VCIAT have the characteristics of that we train students who have science and engineering backgrounds and the high standards of basic knowledge. We provide them with the Japanese course that closely linked to their master training.
Furthermore, we are going to design the course in which they can learn research and Development and also Japanese Business Style.

This Academy is the product of the unified cooperation of Dr. Huynh Mui, who has power of imagination and made tireless effort for it.
He is the President of Thang Long School of Technology and one of the establishment members of Thang Long University.
Vietnamese Governments and Vietnamese Media have showed their high interest on the Academy. The VIPs from various fields made congratulatory speeches at the ceremony and 24 companies appeared to the press conference.
We would welcome all the Japanese companies that make expectations on Vietnamese young engineers and look forward to further progress of Vietnam’s development.
